Professor David O’Neal, our DTRG Director , spoke with ABC Radio National host, Tegan Taylor, on yesterday’s Health Report about a new research project he’s leading.

The project is investigating the use of an artificial pancreas to automate insulin delivery and improve health outcomes for people living with diabetes and advanced kidney disease.

They spoke in-depth about the current mental, emotional and physical burdens attached for patients forced to monitor and manage their glucose levels by regularly injecting themselves with insulin because their pancreas is failing to do it for them.
