Project Portfolio Manager
Catriona joined the DTRG as the National Research Coordinator and Technology Trainer for the Adult Hybrid Closed Loop 3-year Study with the Artificial Pancreas, managing 7 sites across Australia in 2016. Catriona was promoted to the Project Portfolio Manager in 2018 and is currently overseeing the type 1 diabetes technology research projects and managing its 12 team members.
She is responsible for the management and professional development of this team and is part of the OHS working party in the Department of Medicine. She is also responsible for the promotion of the DTRG in the diabetes community continuing formed relationships with DV and DA (PWD advocacy groups) and presents regularly at their people with diabetes events.
She has ensured the international exchange of staff between DTRG and international sites have been managed appropriately, as well as budget management for the DTRG, and participates in all business meetings pertinent to the DTRG both new and current opportunities. Catriona discovered her passion to find solutions for people with type 1 diabetes having held sales roles and then regional management and clinical hybrid roles for 16 years working in type 1 diabetes technology with Medtronic Diabetes in Australia and
prior to that with Bayer Diagnostics.
