lactate study results

Findings

This poster presents results from a study investigating the use of a prototype interstitial lactate sensor (developed by our collaborators at the University of California, Irvine) in people with type 1 diabetes during exercise. The results show interstitial lactate as measured by the prototype sensor mirrored the rise and fall in blood lactate during exercise, highlighting its possible role as an additional sensor that could be used to improve the lives of people with type 1 diabetes.
