Dr Dale Morrison presents at ADC 2024
D.T.R.G’s post doctoral research fellow Dr Dale Morrison presented a poster at the Australasian Diabetes Congress 2024. Dale presented on the results of his whey protein exercise study, which investigated the dose effect of whey protein ingestion on glucoregulation in adults with T1D who were exercising. The results of this study found that whey protein ingestion stimulates glucagon secretion which can regulate blood glucose levels, suggesting that whey protein ingestion may be a feasible method of hypoglycemia prevention for individuals with T1D when exercising.
