Professor David O’Neal has been highlighted in St Vincent’s 2022 Research Report for his work marrying treatments for those living with both type 1 diabetes and advanced renal disease

The project is investigating the use of an artificial pancreas to automate insulin delivery and improve health outcomes for people living with diabetes and advanced kidney disease.

This would ideally alleviate much of the burden placed upon the patient and their health care professionals.
